Using the research

Congressional Tracker is an independent research tool and is not a government service. Records come from the linked official sources. Coverage is incomplete, and source dates and limitations are displayed in the application. Verify important information with the relevant official source.

House roll calls, bill records and committee information reflect the imported snapshots. Individual Senate vote positions, complete career histories, nationwide checked ballot coverage and district boundary maps are not included. An absent roll call does not establish that a member voted No. Party-alignment percentages describe the recorded votes and do not establish a member’s motives.

Your account and correspondence

Use your own email address and keep your password private. Do not share accounts or attempt to bypass access limits. “Write to Congress” prepares drafts for your review; Congressional Tracker does not automatically send those drafts to officials. Published press or shared office contacts are labeled accordingly and are not guaranteed to be current or deliverable.
